Shot of the Day
High noon in Westminster. A minute later, we asked a bobby stationed beneath the tower for the time... he actually checked his watch, then laughed, "You got me!"
Richmond Barbour is an Associate Professor of English at Oregon State University. His teaching and research interests include Shakespeare, Renaissance Literature, Theater and Drama, Classical Mythology, Cross-cultural Studies, Travel Writing, and Maritime History.
He has published articles on Ben Jonson, William Shakespeare, and the London East India Company. His book, Before Orientalism. London's Theatre of the East, 1576-1626, examines early modern English visions of, and contact with, Asia.
In 2001 he led a group of university students on study abroad in Athens, Greece.
